In My Dream I Saw . . .

I had a dream sometime during this past year. I don't remember if I recorded it, and if I did record it, I don't remember where I recorded it. During this past week, the dream keeps coming to mind, so I am taking the opportunity to record the dream to the best of my remembrance.

I was in a small speed boat with a few others. We were seat belted in the seats next to and behind the driver of the boat. Behind the seats was a deck. A clear vinyl covering was securely snapped to the windshield and sides of the boat. The seats were covered but the deck was not under the vinyl covering.

My baby was on the deck sleeping peacefully in her carrier. The baby carrier was sitting on the deck but was not strapped to the boat. My sleeping baby was not under the vinyl covering with me and was unaware of her surroundings.

It was a clear day with blue skies. The canal leading from the dock to the ocean was a beautiful aqua blue.

We hadn't even reached the ocean when a huge tsunami wave caught us by surprise. It came up over the boat, and we were in the middle of an ocean storm. My heart sank when I looked back and realized my helpless, sleeping baby was lost at sea. In such a storm, it wasn't even possible for me to find her. I awoke from the dream in a state a alarm.

I've pondered over the meaning of the dream. The sleeping baby are people I love. They are asleep and unaware of any impending danger. They are helpless against the imminent storm . The storm will hit with such suddenness that it will be impossible to help them.

I am reminded of these concluding words in the Book of Mormon:

And again I would exhort you that ye would come unto Christ, and lay hold upon every good gift, and touch not the evil gift, nor the unclean thing. And awake, and arise from the dust, O Jerusalem; yea, and put on thy beautiful garments, O daughter of Zion; and strengthen thy stakes and enlarge thy borders forever, that thou mayest no more be confounded, that the covenants of the Eternal Father which he hath made unto thee, O house of Israel, may be fulfilled.

Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God. And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot. Moroni 10:30-33

Come unto Christ while it is called today! And again:

Hearken, O ye people of my church, saith the Lord your God, and hear the word of the Lord concerning you— The Lord who shall suddenly come to his temple; the Lord who shall come down upon the world with a curse to judgment; yea, upon all the nations that forget God, and upon all the ungodly among you. For he shall make bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of their God.

Wherefore, prepare ye, prepare ye, O my people; sanctify yourselves; gather ye together, O ye people of my church, upon the land of Zion, all you that have not been commanded to tarry. Go ye out from Babylon. Be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord. Call your solemn assemblies, and speak often one to another. And let every man call upon the name of the Lord

Yea, verily I say unto you again, the time has come when the voice of the Lord is unto you: Go ye out of Babylon;gather ye out from among the nations, from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Send forth the elders of my church unto the nations which are afar off; unto the islands of the sea; send forth unto foreign lands; call upon all nations, first upon the Gentiles, and then upon the Jews.

And behold, and lo, this shall be their cry, and the voice of the Lord unto all people: Go ye forth unto the land of Zion, that the borders of my people may be enlarged, and that her stakes may be strengthened, and that Zion may go forth unto the regions round about. Yea, let the cry go forth among all people: Awake and arise and go forth to meet the Bridegroom; behold and lo, the Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Prepare yourselves for the great day of the Lord.

Watch, therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour. Let them, therefore, who are among the Gentiles flee unto Zion. And let them who be of Judah flee unto Jerusalem, unto the mountains of the Lord’s house. Go ye out from among the nations, even from Babylon, from the midst of wickedness, which is spiritual Babylon.

But verily, thus saith the Lord, let not your flight be in haste, but let all things be prepared before you; and he that goeth, let him not look back lest sudden destruction shall come upon him. Hearken and hear, O ye inhabitants of the earth. Listen, ye elders of my church together, and hear the voice of the Lord; for he calleth upon all men, and he commandeth all men everywhere to repent.

For behold, the Lord God hath sent forth the angel crying through the midst of heaven, saying: Prepare ye the way of the Lord, and make his paths straight, for the hour of his coming is nigh—When the Lamb shall stand upon Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his Father’s name written on their foreheads. Wherefore, prepare ye for the coming of the Bridegroom; go ye, go ye out to meet him. . . D&C 133:1-19

  1. Thank you for sharing. This is beautiful. Lately our family has felt inspired to get out of Babylon. We are attempting to shed pagen holidays and many other things of the world. Lately this is our families theme song...
"Babylon, oh Babylon, we bid thee farewell. We're going to the mountains of Ephraim to dwell." Awesome song!!!
