Joseph Smith ... Modern "Prophets"

We are continuing on from the last post where we discussed the overwhelming divergence, variation, and contradictions that are repeatedly manifested among the latter day “prophets”. This has forced us to face and confront a rather messy situation where confusion, opposition, and contention is present.

How can multiple “prophets”, all claiming to speak for God, contradict one another? Does God change from moment to moment? Or do some or perhaps almost all of the “prophets” deceive or lie?

What is required to become a servant of God who speaks His word, which “shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same?” (D&C 1:38)

Is there a difference between a “holy man”, who is guided by the Holy Spirit and speaks the word of God, and a “natural man”, who simply relies on the “arm of flesh”? If so, what?

Is it necessary for a servant of God to first be redeemed from the fall, become a holy man, be brought back into His presence, literally know Him face to face, become His witness, and deliver a message, for which God vouches?

If this is true, who, among the latter day “prophets”, do you believe and trust? Can the words and teachings of a man, who claims to be a modern or current prophet today, supersede or contradict the words and teachings of the prophet Joseph Smith or any other previous prophet or the scriptures, for which God vouches?

Is there someone today, who has come from the presence of God with an authorized message, calling repentance, seeking to preserve what was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith, declaring that the heavens are open for business, revealing a covenant from God, and seeking to prepare some few for Zion.
