Giving Heed, Receiving More

“And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he has promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.” (Mosiah 2:20-22)

The most important of all the commandments of God revealed and given to you is perhaps the one that you are having the most difficulty keeping today, the one that is always on your mind, the one that keeps "popping up". Talk to the Lord about it. Seek His help, forgiveness and comfort. He offers what no one else can.

It seems to me that receiving commandments or instructions from the Lord is a great advantage and blessing. Giving heed to the Lord's voice can be a "key" to receiving more. As you obey the revelations, directions, and guidance received from Him previously, the Lord reveals your next step to take, which is often accompanied with further light and knowledge.

"By doing the truth which we already know, let us make progress towards the truth which as yet we are ignorant of." (CS Lewis)

Progress Adds Up

A little progress each day adds up to BIG results!

Moment by moment, day in and day out, month after month, and year following year, choosing, working, seeking, correcting, repenting and progressing in the right direction, under the tutelage of God, makes a tremendous difference in a lifetime, at least it does for me.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

A man is certainly the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he indeed becomes. Start thinking more like God and your life may never be the same!
