A witness from God can be relied upon. As you read our thoughts, beliefs, and experiences, we invite you to obtain a witness for yourself. If something we say or imply does not ring true, then you should feel no obligation to accept it. Life is an individual and unique journey with God. Although we can help and encourage each other, we need to be careful not to come between God and another person.

None of My Business

None of My Business is what freedom sounds like—a lively, fiddle-laced Americana tune bursting with honest, playful lyrics and a grin earned through experience. With a wink, a stomp, and a whole lot of heart, it invites listeners to tap their feet and embrace the joy of standing in their own truth.

Four years ago, I found myself deeply triggered by a challenging situation. For most of my life, I responded by looking inward—asking what the mirror was showing me, how I might be contributing, and what I could learn. But this time, that framework wasn’t helping. I cried out to God, “What is my problem?” The answer came swiftly and clearly: “You are a co-dependent people pleaser. Do not project your garbage onto others. And when they project theirs onto you, receive it as meaning nothing.” That moment marked a turning point. Since then, I’ve been unlearning old patterns, growing comfortable in my own skin, setting boundaries without bitterness, and letting go of the need to manage how others see me.

This joyful foot-tapper is more than just catchy music; it’s a celebration of releasing the need to be understood, refusing to carry what isn’t yours, and choosing to love from a place of clarity and inner freedom. With bright fiddle breaks, a sure-footed rhythm with a friendly sway, and a few good-natured metaphors—good boots instead of barbed wire, a free-spirited grin with laughter filling each day, anchoring the shaken, and loving from a place of freedom—this song celebrates the joy that comes when you trade approval-chasing for inner peace.

Truth Brings Accountability and Freedom

“And truth is knowledge of things as they are, and as they were, and as they are to come; And whatsoever is more or less than this is the spirit of that wicked one who was a liar from the beginning. The Spirit of truth is of God. I am the Spirit of truth, and John bore record of me, saying: He received a fulness of truth, yea, even of all truth; And no man receiveth a fulness unless he keepeth his commandments. He that keepeth his commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things.” Doctrine and Covenants 93:24-28

“And therefore, he that will harden his heart, the same receiveth the lesser portion of the word; and he that will not harden his heart, to him is given the greater portion of the word, until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God until he know them in full.” Alma 12:10

We were talking about this idea with our family. April said, “No, please don’t give me more truth. That’s too much to be responsible for.” Emily said, “Oh no, we don’t want to shun off truth. It opens doors and makes us free.”

Jesus taught that as we believe on him and continue in his word, then we are his disciples indeed. Not only that, but we shall know the truth and the truth shall make us free. see John 8:31-32

When truth comes our way, do we tend to overlook it? Miss it? Neglect it? Abandon it? Disregard it? Ignore it? Avoid it? Evade it? Shun it? Recoil from it? Dodge it? Circumvent it? Change it? Alter it? Adjust it? Amend it? Rewrite it? Discount it? Reduce it? Diminish it? Spurn it? Forget it? Disagree with it? Decline it? Refute it? Refuse it? Deny it? Reject it?

From time to time God shares additional truth with his children here on earth. When the God of Heaven, who knows what He’s talking about, gives us any gift of further light and knowledge, do we recognize the truth for what it really is?

Do we welcome it? Greet it? Acknowledge it? Admit it? Allow it? Think about it? Consider it? Entertain it? Receive it? Believe it? Accept it? Embrace it? Hold it? Respect it? Esteem it? Appreciate it? Understand it? Identify with it? Value it? Love it? Adore it? Practice it? Look for it? Seek it? Pursue it? Seize it? Obtain it? Be thankful for it? Follow it? Apply it? Live it? Be it? Pray for more of it?

Whenever truth is manifested to us, we immediately become more responsible and accountable than before. We are expected to live our lives in conformity with the truth we have received. We cannot reasonably expect to receive further light and knowledge by conversing with the Lord while refusing to live the truths already given.

Ron Paul, Martin Luther King, and John F. Kennedy

It is rare to find a man governed by principle rather than by pride and money. Ron Paul is a champion of freedom. I voted for Ron Paul in 2008 even though his name was not on the ballot. I had to write in his name. He has my vote again in 2012.

Here’s an inspiring 2008 YouTube on Ron Paul and liberty. I’ve written the quotes from the video for your benefit.

They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. – Benjamin Franklin

There is a certain enthusiasm in liberty, that makes human nature rise above itself, in acts of bravery and heroism. – Alexander Hamilton

I would rather be exposed to the inconvenience attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it. – Thomas Jefferson

An error doesn’t become a mistake until you refuse to correct it. – Orlando A. Battista

The value of liberty was thus enhanced in our estimation by the difficulty of its attainment, and the worth of characters appreciated by the trial of adversity. – George Washington

Mankind must put an end to war or war will put an end to mankind. – John F. Kennedy

Everyone is a pacifist between wars, it’s like being a vegetarian between meals. – Colman McCarthy

The direct use of force is such a poor solution to any problem. It is generally employed only by small children and large nations. – David Friedman

I dream of giving birth to a child who will ask “Mom, what was war?” – Eve Mirriam

Where liberty dwells, there is my country. – Benjamin Franklin

Observe good faith and justice towards all nations, cultivate peace and harmony with all. – George Washington

We have it in our power to begin the world over again. – Thomas Paine
