A witness from God can be relied upon. As you read our thoughts, beliefs, and experiences, we invite you to obtain a witness for yourself. If something we say or imply does not ring true, then you should feel no obligation to accept it. Life is an individual and unique journey with God. Although we can help and encourage each other, we need to be careful not to come between God and another person.

Woulda-Coulda-Shoulda

"Doing" something almost always supersedes and proves to be more effective than merely "talking" about it.

Doing the right thing when no one is watching seems like integrity to me.

For me, regret is far less concerning the things I've done than the things I didn't do when I had the chance.

The smarter you get the less you speak, the more you listen, and the more you do.

Don't be impressed by what you see someone post online or hear someone talk about. Be impressed by the fruit they produce and by what you become aware of them doing behind the scenes. After all, much is revealed by what a person chooses to do when they think no one is watching.

Wise men speak because they have already done the work, know for themselves, and have authority from a higher source to actually say something of value. On the other hand pretenders and fools, who have failed to do the work themselves and lack higher authority, tend to ignorantly speak on important subjects because they feel some sort of need to say something about that which they know nothing.

One of the hardest things to do in life is letting go of what you thought was real.

Doing it isn't the same as thinking or talking about it.

God's Wheel

Sit back, relax for a moment, and carefully listen to the Lord. Let Him take your steering wheel. I believe that as you believe in His word, exercise faith by acting accordingly, He will teach you, ask you to sacrifice your unneeded "favorites", and take you on a higher road that may surprise you.

God's Wheel

God says to me with a kind of smile,
'Hey how would you like to be God awhile
And steer the world?'
'Okay,' says I, 'I'll give it a try.
Where do I set?
How much do I get?
What time is lunch?
When can I quit?'
'Gimme back that wheel,' says God.
'I don't think you're quite ready yet.'

Remember ... Listen to the Voice Inside of You!

There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
“I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong.”
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What’s right for you – just listen to
The voice that speaks inside.
– The Voice by Shel Silverstein

Listen to your intuition, impressions of light, your gut feeling, that little voice that guides you!

“And the Book of Mormon and the holy scriptures are given of me for your instruction; and the power of my Spirit quickeneth all things.” (D&C 33:16)

“Yea, behold, I will tell you in your mind and in your heart, by the Holy Ghost, which shall come upon you and which shall dwell in your heart. Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold, this is the spirit by which Moses brought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground. Therefore this is thy gift; apply unto it, and blessed art thou, for it shall deliver you out of the hands of your enemies, when, if it were not so, they would slay you and bring your soul to destruction.” (D&C 8:2-4, emphasis added)

The scriptures have explained that the “Holy Ghost” is a personage of Spirit and dwells in you. In Moses 6:61, the Holy Ghost is described with the following attributes:
Therefore it is given to abide in you;
the record of heaven;
the Comforter;
the peaceable things of immortal glory;
the truth of all things;
that which quickeneth all things,
which maketh alive all things;
that which knoweth all things,
and hath all power according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.

This is a description of the personage of Spirit which dwells inside you. This is the Holy Ghost. This is something that can be in contact with the “mind of the Father and Son.” or the Holy Spirit as Joseph Smith taught in the Lectures on Faith, “... And he being the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth, and having overcome, received a fulness of the glory of the Father—possessing the same mind with the Father, which mind is the Holy Spirit, that bears record of the Father and the Son …” (Lecture 5:2, emphasis added)

“For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.” (Mosiah 3:19, emphasis added)

“For they that are wise and have received the truth, and have taken the Holy Spirit for their guide, and have not been deceived—verily I say unto you, they shall not be hewn down and cast into the fire, but shall abide the day.” (D&C 45:57, emphasis added)

Don’t let others make your decisions for you or stand between you and God. Receive the Holy Ghost and revelation yourself. Connect with God, the Holy Spirit, and His Mind. Take heed, take the Holy Spirit for your guide, and yield to the enticings of the Holy Spirit!
