Being
“childlike” is to have constant curiosity about things of which
you lack understanding. Adult gentiles, especially those of us who are
religious and think we already know enough, have a tendency to pass
by, gloss over, and totally miss a lot of truth.
Men may very well end up in hell again by worshiping men, following church institutions, or allowing anything or anyone to take the place of or distract from God.

Take
every opportunity to ask questions, manifest relentless curiosity,
and openly consider every source. I think you should and indeed can
get answers to your questions presented to God. He has already
answered many initial questions through His word, scriptures,
messengers, and angels. Through prayer and conversing with God, you
can get an answer to anything you are ready for or revelations on how
to get ready. I don't believe God makes anyone wait longer than He
feels is needed in the process. He enjoys seeing your growth and progress and therefore does that which assists you and persuades you best.
“Once you were a child. Once you knew
what inquiry was for. There was a time when you asked questions
because you wanted answers, and were glad when you had found them.
Become that child again: even now.” (C.S. Lewis)
