“And blessed are they who shall seek
to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and
the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they
shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the
everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea,
tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they
be.” (1 Nephi 13:37)
Does this imply that the people of God
in the latter days will know His name, recognize His messengers,
accept His word, and acknowledge that it is He that doth speak?
From your perspective, is it important
to come unto the Lord, the keeper of the gate, who is the Holy One of
Israel? Do you acknowledge that He employeth no servant there and
there is none other way save it be by the gate; for he cannot be
deceived, for the Lord God is his name? (2 Nephi 9:41)
Would you find it valuable to hear him
that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good
tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy
God reigneth!?”

is speaking the word of God today?
Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. (Matt. 7:14)
ReplyDeleteWhy only "few"? This is a rather sobering thought.
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:3,5)
Does the Lord use the word "see" here to mean to recognize what it is presented to you, to recognize what is right in front of you? Is this why only a few will find it?
